Larissa Gomes is a Certified Financial Educator and the founder of Out of the Mattress. Previously, she worked at Bloomberg, where she oversaw Portuguese-language content across the Terminal software used worldwide, and at WGSN, a leading global consumer trend forecaster.

How it started

When she gained access to a financial advisor at Bloomberg, Larissa dove into personal finance education. But none of it addressed immigrants’ realities, like sending money home to family or retiring abroad.

After seeing her friends give up on existing courses, she got the itch to develop her own—and make it available to immigrants everywhere for free.
